The Brickyard Barn Inn's
Shrimp & Butter Dip
(Makes about 1 1/2 cup spread)
This recipe is a concept that I revised and loved.
Very simple as an appetizer, but could also be used as a spread on French bread, sitting in front of a fire with a glass of wine.

Ingredients:
1 stick butter (1/2 cup) preferably unsalted, but not a deal breaker, room temperature
1 package (8 ounces) cream cheese, room temperature
2 Tablespoons mayonnaise
2 Tablespoons fresh (preferred) lemon juice
2 Tablespoons finely chopped onion
Garlic powder (not garlic salt) to taste
½ cup (about) baby shrimp, or substitute flaked or smoked salmon, tuna, or crab
Preparation:
Beat all ingredients until smooth. Serve with Swedish rye bread (as a bowl), crackers, etc. If you have the time, let it sit in the refrigerator overnight to allow the flavors to blend.
